Project Spotlight: Capturing the MNP Logo Installation in Calgary

A collaboration between CBPG Studios & Behrends Group

At CBPG Studios, we specialize in creating visual content that tells a story—and few projects illustrate this better than our recent collaboration with Behrends Group.

Based in Edmonton, Alberta, Behrends has been a leader in the architectural signage industry since 1952. Known for their custom metal fabrication and legacy signage, their work appears on landmarks across Western Canada. When they needed photo and video documentation of a major installation in downtown Calgary, they reached out to us.

The assignment? Capture the installation of the new MNP logo atop the former Telus building—a striking update to the Calgary skyline.

This was no ordinary photoshoot. The project involved cranes, high-rise crews, custom signage components, and a carefully choreographed process that played out several stories above the ground. From the initial rigging to the final bolt, every stage had to be timed and executed with precision.

I personally handled the photography and videography for this project, documenting both the technical process and the human effort behind the scenes. My goal was to create visuals that didn’t just show what happened—but captured how it happened and why it mattered.

This type of project reflects the core of what we do at CBPG Studios: turning real work into compelling content. Whether it’s architectural signage, a rebrand reveal, or the transformation of a cityscape, we help companies share their milestones through striking visuals that resonate.

A huge thank-you to the team at Behrends for trusting us to help tell this story. It was a privilege to be part of such a dynamic and visually impactful project.
